Véraison
The vineyard is looking great- we expect one of our largest harvests this season as a result of the perfect weather conditions this season. We are also focusing on helping our grape clusters to continue to ripen, by tucking & de-leafing.
The clusters are now starting to change colour, this is called Véraison & is one of the most exciting times in the vineyard. Véraison is when the vine turns its energy to ripening the grape clusters. From this point, it can take a month or so until the grapes are ready to harvest for wine production. The time from véraison to harvest differs for each grape variety, depending on how much sun and warmth they require to fully ripen.
