Gratefulness

Gratefulness is something we hear people speak of more and more these days. But what does it really mean, and how do we get there?

Gratitude is one of many positive emotions. It's about focusing on what's good in our lives and being thankful for the things we have. Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted. It's taking a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are when something good happens — whether it's a small thing or a big thing.
Like other positive emotions, feeling grateful on a regular basis can have a big effect on our lives and our health. We feel less stress and complain less. We can make clearer decisions in our lives, and notice the good things in life more often.
We can all work on our feelings of gratefulness everyday just by appreciating those in our lives, thank them for being there and even noticing nature and its beauty on a daily basis. The more we do this, the more frequent we feel emotions of joy, love, and happiness.
Let’s all allow ourselves to feel grateful.
