May 18, 2022 | Chardonnay Wine Release & May Long Weekend

Wine and BBQ pairing

We are all looking forward to this coming long weekend! The first of the season. Making plans to get together with friends and family, off to the cottage, planning a BBQ or going for a drive to the South Shore -- it is a chance to relax and enjoy the moment.

We have some ideas for you: take a trip to check out some of our beautiful beaches, Crescent Beach or Risser’s Beach. Then be sure to stop by the winery to enjoy a glass on our terrace, take in the views, and relax.

We will be officially launching our NEW Chardonnay Wine this weekend! Be sure to try a sample and take some home for dinner!

Chardonnay

Our new Chardonnay is a dry white wine made from 100% Nova Scotia Chardonnay grapes. It is crisp and clean -- not oaked. The wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, pear, and a hint of pineapple. Then on the palate, flavours of ripe apple and Meyer lemon with just a hint of white peach. It has a smooth mouthfeel with well-balanced acid and long finish.

Pairs well with fresh seafood, such as steamed mussels and garlic, or pan seared scallops, or BBQ chicken burgers!

Long weekend events & tours start!

Also, this long weekend, we will be starting our Ultimate Tours for the season! They have been said to be the most informative tours people have had at a vineyard and winery. We take you to the vineyard, talking out the history of the area, and explaining how grapes grow for wine making. Then, we discuss the harvest and cellar, and then talk about wine making. The tour finishes off with a wine tasting of five wines, along with some nuts, cheeses, charcuterie, and chocolate to discuss how to pair wine and food.

All this for $25 per person. Be sure to book at least 24 hours ahead of time. Call or email us at 902-693-3033 or info@petiterivierevineyards.ca

Note: we can also offer tours in French if preferred. Please contact us for details.

Fischer Concert

Be sure to catch Katherine Fischer performing at Petite Riviere Winery.  A wonderful evening of music at the Winery! Katherine is a renowned Folk singer who weaves the telling of an empath soul, with radiant vocals, windblown guitar and a pop sensibility grounded in truth. She has over 250 songs in her arsenal & has played at over 200 festivals from coast to coast

June 4th 6-pm
