Aromatized wines are fortified and considered aperitifs. They were initially made for nobility as a health tonic. This aperitif is rich in vibrant sensations of sweet warm spices, with herbal notes, such as cinchona bark and a balanced bitter orange finish. Delicious over ice with an orange twist, also perfect in classic cocktails like a Negroni or Manhattan.

Mighty Maroon Port

The 5th Canadian Division, occasionally referred to as the "Mighty Maroon Machine," earned its moniker during the hard-fought battles of the Second World War. Today's division is composed of a diverse and dedicated team of full & part time soldiers who are an integral part of Atlantic Canada.

Mighty Maroon Port is a port-styled fortified wine, barrel aged for 12 months. Notes of cassis, figs and spice.

Drumlin – Kissing Brook

Kissing Brook was hand harvested, sorted and basket pressed. The wine is a blend of Baco Noir, Leon Millot, Triomphe d’Alsace, Petite Pearl and Lucie Kuhlmann and it was barrel aged in French oak for 20 months. This red wine is rich and elegant, with well integrated tannins. The nose offers cedar, spice and rich black fruit. The palate displays spice, cedar, cassis, black cherries & plums. Pairs well with roasted dishes such as butter roasted rib-eye steaks with frites

Mighty Maroon Red

The Gothic Line and the Battle of Coriano Ridge

In August 1944, the 5th Canadian Division saw action north of Rome, and was the first formation to punch through the Gothic Line. The Rimini Line followed in September when the division played a key role in conquering Coriano Ridge. Several water barriers were crossed as the division continued to push north. By January 1945, the division reached the Senio River, and the Winter Line. The Division was moved out of the Italian theatre at the end of February and joined the First Canadian Army in Holland.

Petite Rivière grows elegant, complex wines on the slops of the Drumlin Hills in Nova Scotia's LaHave River Valley Wine Region in the South Shore. This wine is the 2015 Italy Cross, a member of the Petite's elite Drumlin Wine Series from estate reserve grapes, Lucie Kuhlmann and Leon Millot, barrel aged in French oak for 18 months. It displays notes of cedar, spice and rich dark fruit with well integrated tannins.
